The grill is synonymous with summer and it is no surprise July is National Grilling Month. The grill is a natural gathering place. You invite a few friends/neighbors over, throw something delicious on the grill, add in cold beverages, and play some upbeat music…BAM it’s a party. The Dakota Center’s Summer Community Block Parties are our tribute to National Grilling Month. We are holding 4 of them. 2 were in June and the other 2 are scheduled for July. The last one is July 16th, 5p-7p, at the Boys and Girls Club.
The weather hasn’t challenged us too much and the crowd continues to grow larger. We are so thankful to have such strong partnerships that each event has the mobile vaccine clinic along with 19 other community service providers all sharing what they have to offer to improve some family’s quality of life. Enjoy a few pictures of our 2 June events. We are grateful for all who have contributed in so many ways to make these events a success. In particular we acknowledge our Academic League of West Dayton partners: The Boys and Girls Club; Wesley Community Center, and Parity …ALWD Strong.
