The Dakota Center was notified on December 7, 2021, by Meijer Store 106 (Englewood location) that the Center was selected to receive a special one-time donation. Store Director, Carl Glaab, and Senior Director of Community Giving, Catherine Cooper, presented the check to us at the end of January. They told us about the effort to research, nominate, and then vote on a local non-profit that serves our community. It was great getting to know both Carl and Catherine hearing about their teammates.
We listed to their story about their passion to serve others. We are excited to partner with them to help enrich the lives of those who live in our community. This donation goes toward our Community Relations efforts like the Community Baby Shower coming in April, Summer Block Party and Fall Open House and our Community Christmas Party in December. Thank you Meijer and granting this special donation to The Dakota Center. It will be used this year to build character and connect community.
