WDFA Collective Impact 6 month review PP slides
West Dayton Food Access Collective Impact Project and Partners have been doing crock pot cooking trainings in zip codes 45402, 45405, 45406 and 45417 over the last few months.
These trainings have grown in numbers of people attending and they are designed to help families learn how to cook healthy meals, stretch their food dollars and involve children in the cooking process.
Around 120 people have attended these trainings so far and we have given out about 100 crock pots to those attending. So far we have been pretty successful in getting donations for crock pots from KitchenAid, UFCW Local 75, IUE-CWA 755, Kroger and other partners. We are currently working with area employers seeking donations.
The Collaborative is looking for crock pot donations. So if you would like to donate a new crock pot or two we need 6 quart crock pots and they can be dropped off at 505 Riverside Drive, Dayton, Ohio (
You can also drop off any donation here at Dakota Center and we will get them to 505 Riverside Drive.
Thank you.
