Ronald “Bobo” Foster Memorial 5K walk and run

It was rainy and cool.  Perfect weather to walk or run 5K.  The turnout was small but mighty.  The event was a success and most importantly we honored Ron’s legacy at Dakota Center.  Ron’s widow and other family members were in attendance to share their thoughts.  Thank you to our sponsors:  Logan Heating and Air, Houser Asphalt, Sinclair Community College, Ziks Pharmacy, and Ambucs for their support.  All proceeds are dedicated to help offset our Summer Enrichment Camp costs.

This past summer we had 74 campers.  The camp runs for 6 weeks, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.  The program emphasizes literacy, character and community.  Each day we provide breakfast, a hot lunch, am/pm snack.  Each Thursday the camper head off to swim and each Friday there is a field trip.  We partner with Wesley Center for our camp and we also thank them for their support in this very much needed service.

SO rain or shine we came out in support of the work being done to help those in the MacFarland neighborhood.  The very same neighborhood the center was founded in 53 years ago.  Thank you one and all for your support and see you next year!!
