The Dakota Center’s senior program known as “The Golden Age ” is for seniors ages 55 and older. The program is offered year around, 4 days a week, 3 hours per day. It is designed to promote a safe environment for them to gather. It is important for seniors to maintain quality independent living while attending to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
On a sad note, we mourn the loss of our dear friend Ms. Ruth Simmons. She passed away on December 28, 2022. She was a long-time member of The Golden Age program and a wonderfully kind and interesting person.
On a happy note, Ms. Rosemary Kinney in a member of The Golden Age program who also volunteers as one of our Foster Grandparents with our Homework Club after school program. Below is a note about how she feels about The Dakota Center.
